Lady Grey 50g

Lady Grey is a lighter and more citrus-forward variation of Earl Grey tea. Like traditional Earl Grey, it is made from black tea scented with bergamot essential oil, but it also includes lemon peel and orange peel to create a softer, brighter and more refreshing flavour.
 
The style was developed in the early 1990s for tea drinkers who found the traditional bergamot character of Earl Grey too strong. The additional citrus peel gives the blend a gentler fragrance and a more rounded balance between black tea, bergamot and fresh fruit notes.
 
When brewed, Lady Grey produces a clear amber to reddish-golden liquor with a lively citrus aroma. The flavour is smooth and refreshing, with notes of bergamot, lemon peel, orange peel, gentle malt and light floral sweetness, followed by a clean and lingering finish.
 
Compared with classic Earl Grey, Lady Grey is generally softer, fruitier and less intense. It may be enjoyed on its own, with a slice of lemon, or with a small amount of milk according to personal preference.
