Double smoked Lapsang Souchong 10 bags / 65g
Traditional Double Smoked Lapsang Souchong is a distinctive Chinese black tea originating from the Wuyi Mountain region of Fujian Province. It is traditionally known as Zheng Shan Xiao Zhong and is celebrated for its bold pine-smoked aroma, rich body and warming character.
This tea is made using a traditional double-smoking process. After the leaves are fully oxidised, they are carefully smoked over burning pine wood, allowing the tea to absorb its characteristic smoky fragrance. The additional smoking creates a deeper and more pronounced pinewood character than lighter modern styles.
When brewed, Traditional Smoked Lapsang Souchong produces a clear reddish-amber liquor with a strong and immediately recognisable aroma. The flavour is full-bodied and smooth, with notes of pine smoke, warm wood, dried fruit and gentle malt, followed by a long, warming finish.
Although the smoky fragrance is bold, the tea itself remains balanced and naturally sweet beneath the smoke. It is an excellent choice for those who enjoy rich, robust black teas with a distinctive traditional character.
