Ceylon Black Tea originates from Sri Lanka, the island nation formerly known as Ceylon and one of the world’s largest and most renowned tea-producing regions. It is widely celebrated for its bright, brisk character, clear amber liquor and refreshing citrus-like aroma.
 
Tea is grown across several regions of Sri Lanka, from warm lowland estates to cool high-altitude plantations. Differences in elevation, climate and soil create a wide range of flavour profiles, while Ceylon tea is generally recognised for its lively structure, balanced body and clean finish.
 
After harvesting, the leaves undergo withering, rolling, full oxidation and drying. This traditional process develops the tea’s rich colour, fresh aroma and characteristic balance of briskness, gentle malt and citrus-like notes.
 
When brewed, Ceylon Black Tea produces a clear reddish-amber liquor with a bright and uplifting fragrance. The flavour is clean, smooth and lively, with notes of citrus peel, gentle malt, light spice and subtle dried fruit, followed by a refreshing finish.
