Longquan Celadon “Heritage” Tea Cup Collection By Master. Liu Jie

The “Heritage” Collection, created by Chinese Traditional Craft Master Liu Jie, reinterprets some of the most representative tea cup forms in the history of Chinese porcelain through the distinctive glaze and decorative artistry of Longquan celadon.

The collection features four historically significant cup shapes, each finished in a soft and elegant celadon glaze. With its smooth, jade-like surface, the carved decoration appears subtly beneath the glaze and reveals delicate layers as the light changes. Classical forms are brought together with the quiet refinement for which Longquan celadon is known.

Yongle-Style Interlocking Lotus Yashou Cup

The Yashou Cup, also known as the Press-Hand Cup, has a rounded, substantial body and a gently inward-curving rim that rests securely and comfortably in the hand. Decorated with an interlocking lotus motif beneath the celadon glaze, it reflects the refined and dignified character associated with Ming imperial porcelain.

Dragon-Motif Jar-Form Cup

The Jar-Form Cup has a broad, full-bodied profile with clean and substantial proportions. Its surface is decorated with a traditional dragon motif moving through clouds and waves, bringing energy and movement to the otherwise calm celadon glaze.

Interlocking Lotus Conical Cup

Named after the traditional Chinese conical hat, the Douli Cup features a wide, open rim and a body that tapers gracefully towards the foot. The flowing interlocking lotus decoration follows its elegant profile, giving the cup a light, balanced, and refined appearance.

Interlocking Lotus Drum-Shaped Cup

The Drum-Shaped Cup has a low, rounded body with a substantial and stable form that feels comfortable in the hand. Its continuous interlocking lotus pattern complements the soft celadon glaze, creating an appearance that is both dignified and classically elegant.

Each cup represents a distinctive classical form from the history of Chinese porcelain, while the shared celadon glaze and carved decoration bring the four pieces together as a harmonious collection. Suitable for daily tea drinking, display, or collecting, the “Heritage” Collection offers a refined journey through the history and aesthetics of traditional Chinese teaware.
