Wood-Ash Glaze (Cloudy Pearl) Yun Zhu Teapot

This Yun Zhu teapot features a rich wood-ash glaze, giving the surface a warm amber-brown tone with natural golden variations. During firing, minerals from the wood ash melt into the glaze at high temperature, creating flowing marks, layered colours, and unpredictable kiln effects. Each patch of colour is formed naturally in the kiln, making every teapot unique.
 
The glaze has a deep, glossy texture with an almost lacquer-like richness. Its darker areas appear warm and mature, while the golden highlights bring movement and vitality to the rounded body of the teapot.
 
The Yun Zhu shape is known for its soft, full form and balanced proportions. The curved spout is designed for a smooth and steady pour, allowing the water to flow cleanly and naturally. Combined with its comfortable handle and rounded body, this teapot is both visually expressive and practical for daily tea brewing.
