Western tea drinking styles tend to focus on single-use tea bags in a mug, however the Gong Fu ceremony uses the highest grade of tea leaves over multiple, consecutive brews so you can taste the full range of flavours, allowing you to identify and appreciate the nuanced individual characteristics of the tea. The tea ceremony also offers an introduction to tea drinking etiquette and hospitality, with traditions like the ‘fair cup’ in play. For those who want to start exploring tea, partaking in a tea ceremony class is a great start! It’s a half hour well spent for tea drinkers, with ceremonies catering for groups of up to five people.
