Description:
Rooibos is a naturally caffeine-free herbal infusion originating from the Cederberg region of South Africa, where the rooibos plant, Aspalathus linearis, naturally grows. Although it is commonly called “red tea,” Rooibos does not come from the traditional tea plant.
After harvesting, the needle-like leaves and stems are cut, bruised and naturally oxidised, developing their characteristic reddish-brown colour and smooth aroma. When brewed, Rooibos produces a deep reddish-amber infusion with a mellow, naturally sweet flavour and gentle notes of honey, vanilla, nuts and soft wood. It is naturally low in tannins, giving it a smooth taste with very little bitterness or astringency.

Naturally caffeine-free and suitable for drinking throughout the day, including in the evening. Rooibos naturally contains antioxidants and is traditionally enjoyed as a soothing beverage for relaxation and everyday hydration. Its low-tannin character makes it gentle, smooth and easy to drink, either hot or cold.
